What you should know about Hook Surgery
Access all Areas Existing patients can enjoy access to our wide range of services at the touch of a button. A doctor may phone back to assess the need and urgency in order to plan their rounds effectively. Home visits take three to four times as long for the doctor than an appointment at the surgery, and so are only available for those who are too ill to travel. Please try to ring before 10:30. Home Visits If you need to see a doctor but are too ill to attend the surgery you may request a home visit by phoning 020 8397 6361. If you are late you may be asked to book another time or wait until the end of surgery. Cancellations If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. If you have a number of problems you are welcome to make a double appointment. Our nurse practitioner has her own appointment times and may be the best person for you to see for acute illness, injuries, asthma etc. Appointments are for ten minutes only. We aim to be able to offer you an appointment with the doctor of your choice within two weeks patients are encouraged to consult one particular doctor for each episode of illness. Some appointment times are kept free every day for urgent, same-day consultations. Commuter Clinics (for those who are unable to attend during the day) are available as follows: Thursday from 18:00 - 19:30 Every other Saturday from 08:30 - 10:30 On Saturdays the surgery is solely for pre-booked appointments, not the full range of our usual services. They can be booked at the surgery, by phone on 020 8397 6361 and from this website via the link above. Appointments Appointments are available in the morning, afternoon and evening. Whether managing your appointment or ordering a repeat prescription you can now do both without leaving your home. You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP.
